On a quiet night in rural Oklahoma, Denise, a local waitress, is brutally murdered by Tor who slits her throat and dumps the body into Lake Tenkiller, setting a grim tone for what follows. The next day, two college students, Leslie and Janna, head to Janna’s family cabin near the lake for summer vacation. The lake itself feels both inviting and eerie as the pair swim, and Janna shares a piece of local folklore: a Native American maiden who sought revenge after her sister’s death.
