Take a Hard Ride 1975

Pike, the right-hand man to cattle rancher Dana Andrews Morgan, is entrusted with a dangerous mission: deliver $86,000 across the border to the Morgan Ranch in Sonora, Mexico after his boss dies. Pike teams up with Fred Williamson as Tyree, a gambler whose loyalties are questionable, and the two must rely on each other as they run a gauntlet of threats from outlaws and gunmen who will stop at nothing to seize the money. The danger intensifies as they are relentlessly pursued by the ruthless bounty hunter Lee Van Cleef in the role of Kiefer and the corrupt sheriff Barry Sullivan Kane.

On their trek, the pair encounter Catherine Catherine Spaak, a prostitute in need of rescue, and Kashtok, a mute Indian scout skilled in martial arts Jim Kelly. They also meet Chico, an orphaned Mexican boy who becomes part of their fragile alliance. After a string of gunfights and high-adrenaline chases, Pike and Tyree arrive at an abandoned mine, where the money becomes the focal point of a tense showdown. When the numbers grow and the danger deepens, the two men adjust their plan, choosing cooperation over solitary gain.

Pike and Tyree decide to entrust the money to Chico, and Kashtok is charged with guiding the boy toward safe passage to the ranch. With pursuit closing in, they rig a desperate escape by detonating explosives to collapse the mine shaft behind them, taking out most of their pursuers. One threat remains: Kiefer, who continues to pursue his own endgame. In a final twist, he chooses to forgo his bounty and allows the others to press on toward the ranch, leaving the door open for the eventual outcome to unfold.
