Born into a poor family, Suryakant Sarang Siddharth grows up with little in the way of comforts. His health keeps him away from school, forcing him to spend time at home where his elder brother—Chandrakant Anup Soni—introduces him to the board and the simple joy of Carrom. A young talent emerges as he wins the Junior Carrom Championship at the age of 12, a bright spark that promises possibility, even if life remains hard. Yet adolescence brings distractions, and his passion for the sport wanes as he daydreams about something bigger.

As the years pass, ambitions pull him toward a life beyond the ghetto. Hopes for a lucrative job in Dubai rise, and he invests his savings toward that dream, only to be duped by a bogus overseas employment agency. The money is lost, and Surya’s plans are derailed, forcing him to navigate a harsher reality. His path crosses with Jaleel Aditya Pancholi as a figure who has watched the ghetto rise since the 1970s and who maintains a shadowy grip over the area’s illicit activity. Jaleel, the self-proclaimed king of Malwani, feeds on people’s weaknesses and uses fear to keep control.

Surya’s mother Seema Biswas offers quiet guidance as he faces these pressures. Since the 1970s, the settlements in the ghetto have solidified Jaleel’s hold on the area, with illicit activities at every corner. Reintroduced to Carrom by his childhood friend Ankur Vikal, Surya steps back into the hustling scene, this time with a sharper aim and steadier nerves. He resolves to take on Jaleel on his turf, relying on patience and a cool demeanor as his main weapons.

With every match, the story blends personal aspiration with the grit of street life, showing how a gifted player tries to reclaim dignity in a world that constantly tests his resolve. The carrom board becomes a stage where skill, strategy, and restraint meet danger, and Surya’s quiet perseverance is set against a backdrop of corruption and communal pressure. In the end, the film keeps a measured, grounded tone, tracing a path from poverty to a hard-won stand against exploitation while staying true to the core idea of chasing a dream through discipline and resilience.
