At a register office, Malavika waits for her lover Anand Xavier to arrive and seal their marriage. She is accompanied by a photographer who is also her friend’s brother, Joji, to document the ceremony. When Anand fails to show up, Malavika is forced to leave with Joji, stepping into a situation neither of them anticipated.
Taking pity on her, Joji helps her secure a hotel room, a decision that soon entangles them in bigger troubles. A raid on the hotel leads to their arrest, and Joji’s girlfriend Anu learns of the incident. In a bid to explain away the predicament, Joji tells the police that Malavika is his wife, and the authorities release them under a cloud of mistaken identity.
