Sisters Kayla and Tanya move from Newcastle upon Tyne to start a new life near their estranged father after their mother’s death. Kayla is reluctant to reconcile with him, and the move is framed as a chance for a fresh start, even as the weight of the past lingers in every decision they make.
Meanwhile, a dangerous thread runs through the city: Trey, a drug dealer and gang boss, directs his female companion Shaks to murder a crackhead who has fallen behind on the payments for drugs. The plan is brutal and abrupt, a stark reminder of the violence that pulses through their world.
