
Emile, a French film producer at the turn of the century, takes in his friend’s daughter Lucette while the friend tours France. Emile falls for her, but complications arise when his younger friend Jacques returns from military service, follows Emile’s advice to pursue women, and also becomes involved with Lucette, straining their ties.
