Sand (2018): Cast

Filmed in 2018 as part of Tsai Ming-Liang’s “Walker” series, this work follows the Walker’s journey through the Northeast and Yilan Coast. The film reveals a landscape shaped by the passage of time, showcasing the Pacific Ocean, expansive sky, seagulls, and black sand beaches. It depicts an eel catching settlement, lintou trees, accumulated flotsam, and a new cement house, suggesting a brief respite for the solitary figure. The film debuted alongside the opening of the Zhuangwei Dune Visitor Center.
