Vanya, Richelle Georgette Skornicki who recently lost her mother Andini Asri Handayani, struggles to adjust to life with her uncle Aiden Kev and aunt Maira. Aiden, who works in a toy manufacturing company, secures the rights to a trending doll named Sabrina and crafts a unique version just for Vanya, while Maira Luna Maya gifts it to her for a birthday that brings a small spark of joy back into her days. The household takes on a new rhythm as the doll sits on a shelf, quietly watching and listening.

At school, Ditho [Adlu Fahrezy] hands Vanya a Charlie Charlie game, a toy she uses to reach out to her deceased mother. The ritual around Charlie Charlie—saying goodbye and praying to close the spiritual door so the invited spirits can return to heaven—looms large, and Vanya’s forgetfulness leaves the door ajar, allowing the lingering spirit to possess Sabrina. From this moment, a chill runs through the quiet moments between Vanya and the familiar objects around her, nudging the family toward a path neither expected nor prepared for.

As Vanya’s curiosity about the paranormal grows, Aiden and Maira decide to take her on a holiday to ease her mind and give her a break from the strange happenings. During the vacation, the family begins to glimpse something deeper: Andini appears to them, suggesting that something is seriously wrong. After their return, the group travels to Bandung, where they seek help from demonologists Laras Sara Wijayanto and Bagas, hiring them to help send Andini’s spirit back to heaven. The stakes rise quickly as the selected experts prepare for what may be the most challenging intervention of their lives.

Vanya is brought to her nanny as the ritual unfolds, and Andini possesses Vanya and stabs the nanny. An exorcism follows, sparking a sequence of unsettling possessions that blur the line between guardian and threat. The investigators uncover a startling truth: the spirit that haunts Vanya isn’t always Andini, but Baghiah [Sahil Shah], a demon who seeks a human host to perform ritual killings, using loved ones as bait. The terrifying revelation reframes the entire haunting and casts a shadow over every safe moment the family hoped to reclaim.

Everyone manages to escape the immediate danger, and Laras locks the door, but Baghiah escapes the house. With a new approach, the team conducts another ritual on the residence, attempting to sever the demon’s hold once and for all. Baghiah dredges up a painful memory from the past, reminding Laras of a ritual she and Bagas performed years earlier that traumatized Aiden. In that prior moment, Aiden had violated a crucial rule by entering the ritual room before the ritual could be completed, a mistake that echoes through the present danger and foreshadows the consequences he now faces.

The film slowly unveils a deeper conflict: Aiden’s father bequeathed 40% of Kev Toys to Aiden and 60% to his brother, a choice that seeded jealousy and resentment. Fueled by these pressures, Aiden sought out a shaman, and at the shaman’s urging, plotted to kill his brother. The plan succeeds only in triggering a much larger tragedy—the loss of Andini’s life. As Baghiah’s presence fades and Aiden’s crimes come to light, Aiden is arrested, leaving Maira and Vanya to confront the fallout and the fragility of their family’s peace.

Throughout the resolution, Andini’s spirit lingers as a guiding presence. At her request, Vanya christens Maira as her mom, a moment that redefines kinship and belonging for the living and the dead alike. The journey closes with Laras and Bagas facing another call to action, hinting at future mysteries and the unending work of balancing the seen and unseen. The story remains grounded in the emotional stakes of family, guilt, and the enduring hope that love can outlast fear, even when the past refuses to stay buried.
