Gopika, Kavya Madhavan, and her father move into a house where Bharathiyamma stays with her children: Balu Damodhar, Damodar, and Ambili. Bharathiyamma also has an elder son, Unni Damodhar, who is believed to be working in Dubai, but in truth leads a hidden life as Valayar Paramashivam, a gangster who runs an illegal liquor mafia with Chandy “Bhai” Murali and his circle. The air of danger drifts quietly into the family’s routine as the man they think is abroad returns to begin a power play that will entangle loyalties, love, and justice.
Unni, who tells his family he is serving abroad, confesses to a crime and accepts a four-year imprisonment, though the accused is Bhai. His mother hopes he will marry Gopika, and this tangled web pushes the family toward a brutal reckoning. After his jail term, Paramashivam reemerges with sharper instincts and a sharper resolve to straighten out debts and rivals alike. He senses Bhai’s mounting debts caused by the deceit of Chinnadan Varkey and his sons, and he returns to the Valayar region to pull the strings once again. In this turn, he rekindles the liquor deals and manipulates the local power balance, dragging the Chinnadans into more trouble and drawing Bhai deeper into his own schemes.
The balance of power shifts when Balu Damodhar, a determined new Sub-Inspector, is posted in Valayar. He begins a tireless bid to nab the elusive Valayar Paramashivam, not realizing that the mastermind is his own brother. The mind games between Balu and Paramashivam unfold in a tense chess match, and Bhai grows increasingly furious with Balu’s persistence. Yet Paramashivam urges Bhai to forgive his brother, insisting there is room for familial ties even amid crime and retribution.
Meanwhile, Unni’s true identity begins to leak out as Divakaran, a jail guard who visits the family, reveals the incredible truth to Gopika’s family. The revelation tests loyalties and drives a rift through Bharathiyamma’s household, and Unni’s cover begins to crack under the weight of his past. The tension peaks when Chinnadan kills Bhai’s only son, Johnny, and falsely accuses Balu of the murder. Bhai, driven by grief and rage, kidnaps Balu, escalating the danger to a breaking point.
Paramashivam steps in to save Balu, and in a pivotal moment he confronts Bhai with the truth: the killer’s identity can be proven by the distinctive ring marks on Johnny’s face. With this revelation, Paramashivam pledges to help Bhai avenge his son’s death, even as Balu protests against the alliance. As the truth about Balu’s innocence comes to light, Bhai and Paramashivam join forces to take down the Chinnadans. They execute a dramatic, highly calculated plan—releasing gas and spirits into the Chinnadans’ house, sealing all doors, and triggering a deadly explosion via a toy plane—to dismantle the criminal network in one decisive blow.
In the denouement, Paramashivam is acquitted of the charges, a result Bhai secures by taking responsibility for the crimes. With the weight of guilt lifted from Bhai’s shoulders and the paths of justice reimagined, Paramashivam steps into a chance for a new, free life. The story closes on a note of hard-won closure, where family ties are tested, loyalties are rebuilt, and the law—in its own cunning way—puts an end to a long, dangerous chapter.
