Sanju, a recent computer engineering graduate, finds himself in a predicament after being unable to secure a job. To complicate matters further, he has taken a loan from a predatory moneylender named Vaddi Raja and is struggling to repay it. Amu’s father, Srinivas, opposes her marriage to Sanju due to his unemployment. In a bold move, Amu decides to elope with Sanju, and with the help of his friend Mani, who lends him the funds to settle his debt, they embark on their journey.

However, their excursion takes a turn for the worse when Amu’s chain gets snatched and Sanju’s pockets are lightened as well. Under pressure, Vaddi Raja demands payment by 5 p.m. Subsequently, Srinivas reports Sanju to Sub-Inspector Padmavathi, accusing him of kidnapping Amu and providing her phone number for further actions. Padmavathi insists that Sanju and Amu should report to the police station by the deadline. Things escalate when Sanju’s brother-in-law demands money for a business venture by the same time, leaving Sanju with an unpaid restaurant bill that Mani has to cover.

While these events unfold, Amu is captured by the henchmen of Vaddi Raja and hidden in the trunk of their car, mistakenly believing she is associated with Manik, another debtor. Amidst the chaos, Sanju seeks a solution, and a fateful encounter with Manik leads to an accidental collision with an auto. In a twist of luck, Sanju saves Manik during the incident. At the hospital, Manik’s brother, Posani Balakrishna, a guy with aspirations of grandeur, offers Sanju a job. They concoct a plan to confront the auto owner, who happens to be none other than Vaddi Raja. However, Padmavathi intervenes, revealing that Raja has died in an accident.

A flashback clarifies that a man known as Lighthouse (played by Shani Salmon), who was the root cause of Sanju and Amu’s troubles, had links to Raja through his debts. Lighthouse executes a scheme with two associates to steal from Raja and make a getaway in his car. Their plan backfires when Raja’s henchmen chase after them. In the ensuing chaos, Raja dies tragically due to the actions of the indebted driver of the auto that also struck Manik.

In a climactic moment, Sanju confronts the individuals who robbed him and engages in a fierce brawl, successfully retrieving his money. Amid this turmoil, he also rescues Amu, who discovers that her missing chain was found with the gang of thieves. With everything finally coming together, Sanju pays the debts to his brother-in-law, leading to a resolution filled with hope. The film closes on an uplifting note, reflecting that “Time is of two types: good time and bad time. Good will come following every bad time in life.”
