
Rich, eccentric T.J. Banner adopts a feral cat, names it Rhubarb, and the creature becomes his beloved companion. After T.J. passes away, Rhubarb inherits his fortune and the Brooklyn Loons, a struggling pro baseball team. Publicist Eric Yeager convinces the players Rhubarb is lucky, but Eric’s fiancée Polly’s cat allergy and the team’s rising success put the feline’s new life at risk.
