Spoilers ahead
The film begins with Alice (Milla Jovovich), the protagonist from the previous installments, awakening in a shower, dazed and terrified. Upon realizing she is back at the Spencer Estate in Raccoon City, where it all began, she struggles to comprehend her situation. After putting on a striking red dress found on the bed, she cautiously steps into the hallway, feeling an intense sensation of being preyed upon. Making her way to the infamous laser room from the original film, she narrowly escapes certain death by leaping into a vent before a terrifying trap activates. She drops into a hospital corridor, where the eerie silence is shattered when a massive guillotine cuts a nearby rolling bed in two.
