The story
What Is RED 2 About?

Frank Moses is pulled back into the world of espionage and must reunite with his former team. They are tasked with tracking down a stolen nuclear weapon, embarking on a dangerous mission that puts global security at risk. Three years have passed since the last adventure, and ex-CIA operative Frank Moses, Bruce Willis, is striving to enjoy a more conventional existence with his girlfriend Sarah Ross. However, the attempt to lead a quiet life is interrupted when Marvin Boggs, John Malkovich, expresses his concerns about remaining threats from their past. Marvin’s warnings go tragically unheeded, leading to a catastrophic explosion that seems to claim his life. Unconvinced of Marvin’s demise, Frank reluctantly attends his funeral, where he delivers an emotional eulogy.
