Vishnu is a software engineer whose life centers on his widowed mother. He slips into a hopeful romance with Keerthi, a woman who zealously follows traffic rules and, at first, irritates him with her meticulous ways. The relationship faces a sudden turn when tragedy strikes: his mother dies in her sleep from a hidden illness, leaving Vishnu to grieve and re-evaluate what he wants from life.

In the wake of the loss, Vishnu gathers the courage to propose to Keerthi. She travels to a camp where she ultimately accepts his love, and he travels to the camp to bring her back, where the couple openly professes their feelings for one another. But the happiness is fragile. A near-death moment, triggered by a routine pause on the road, makes her fear the loss of Vishnu even more, and when he later stops at a tea stall near her home, she abruptly ends the romantic moment and leaves.

As Vishnu reaches out, Keerthi reveals a deeper ache: she loves him but does not want a relationship that might end in heartbreak. Her fear traces back to a painful memory—her father died in a bus accident on her birthday—creating a lasting dread of losing loved ones. To ease her worry, Vishnu takes her to a temple, where he reassures her that a higher force will watch over them. This gesture helps her feel calmer, and the two begin to enjoy each other’s company again.

Yet the balance remains delicate. Keerthi’s protective nature grows intense, and friction starts to build. A clash with local youths leads to a night out with Vishnu and his friend, which Keerthi watches with increasing anxiety and discovers some of his evasive responses. Their countryside trip for a naming ceremony intensifies her overbearing tendencies, testing the couple’s patience and trust.

An astrologer’s prediction adds another layer of tension: Vishnu is told that night travel could be dangerous for a month. The couple attempts to navigate this warning by leaving the group to return to the city, but the strain boils over and Vishnu breaks up with Keerthi, feeling his independence squeezed by her cautions.

Keerthi slowly recognizes her fault and apologizes for her fear-driven behavior. Vishnu, meanwhile, finds solace in his mother’s voice notes and comes to see how Keerthi has cared for him in similar ways. Realizing that he needs her by his side, he decides to try again. He heads to Keerthi’s house, only to find it empty—the family has left for a wedding. Fearing the worst, he hurries to the venue, relieved to discover it isn’t Keerthi’s wedding at all.

With a renewed understanding, Vishnu and Keerthi reconcile. He asks her to keep looking out for him, and after a heartfelt conversation, they choose to seal their bond in a quiet, intimate moment of commitment. They quietly marry and slip away from the wedding venue, stepping into a future where love, caution, and care intertwine in equal measure.
