Spoilers ahead
A whimsical, dual-perspective romantic comedy unfolds as we follow the chance encounter of two twenty-somethings at a coffee shop in Los Angeles. Set against the backdrop of a superficial singles scene, this tale dives deep into the quest for genuine love.
Laura (Abby Wathen), an actress facing a mountain of misfortunes both in her career and love life, crosses paths with Kevin (Michael Rady), an aspiring screenwriter longing to escape a dull relationship with the airy-headed Cyndy (Deja Kreuzberg). After a disastrous audition, Laura finds herself in the coffee shop, where fate takes a turn—she accidentally drenches Kevin with her drink and scrambles to apologize as he rushes off to a pivotal pitch meeting.
