Vikramaditya, also known as Aditya, is a celebrated palm reader in 1978 Italy whose fame has earned him the nickname “Einstein of palmistry.” A devoted follower of the saint Paramahamsa, he earned his reputation as a fearless, globe-trotting astrologer who once lived as a playboy and believed romance wasn’t for him. His world shifts when he meets a bright, capable doctor, Prerana, on a train and is instantly drawn to her blend of intelligence, warmth, and endearing clumsiness. What starts as a spark quickly deepens into a complicated affection, even as Aditya remains wary of commitment.

The story pivots when Aditya reads the palm of Anand Rajput, an aspiring politician who is the son of a powerful industrialist. Aditya’s prediction—that Rajput is not destined to become a politician—sets off a dangerous chase: Rajput’s people pursue him, and Aditya narrowly escapes an accident before landing in the hospital where Prerana works. After his recovery, Aditya proposes something nontraditional—a flirtation that could evolve into something more meaningful. Prerana agrees, though her uncle, who acts as a cautionary voice, quietly warns her against letting romantic feelings pull her away from life’s practical realities.

A pivotal moment occurs on a train when a stranger asks Aditya to read the palm of his daughter Tara, a hopeful archer. He foresees a bleak future for her in sports and urges a focus on education instead. The scene leaves the car crowded with palm readers and seers, and Aditya ends up alighting with Prerana. That night, tragedy follows: the train crashes, and many lives are lost. Prerana, shaken by the event, asks Aditya to read her palm, and he predicts a long life and a bright future. Yet she faints now and then with a nosebleed, and tests soon reveal a harsh truth—an incurable tumor that could shorten her life within months. Aditya’s confident predictions falter under the weight of medical certainty, and he is expelled from the hospital by Prerana’s skeptical uncle.

As Prerana battles despair, her uncle tests Aditya with palms from five dead people, and Aditya proves his skill by deducing each one accurately. This validation shifts hearts and minds: a cure for Prerana’s disease is found, and the couple’s bond grows stronger. Yet Aditya remains emotionally distant, confessing that he does not possess a “love line” and that he is likely to leave the country soon. Devastated, Prerana attempts suicide but discovers Aditya’s diary, where she learns that he has been prepared to sacrifice his own life to save hers. The diary becomes a turning point: she chooses to live and continues to hope, even as she dreams of a life with him.

Her determination prompts Aditya to rush back, traveling to Europe with Tara’s encouragement—the newly self-aware realization that life can be rewritten. On his way, he must confront a difficult decision and a dangerous voyage. He boards a cargo ship bound for Italy, commanded by a capable captain, Ship Captain, only to face a ferocious storm that pits man against nature. Trapped at sea, Aditya reflects on Paramahamsa’s teaching that palmistry is 99% accurate and that the remaining 1% belongs to those who script their own destinies. With sheer resolve, he climbs to a high point and fires a flare that summons a lifeboat. The ship sinks, and though the moment seems crushing, Aditya’s resilience carries him back to life.

Reunited with the recovering Prerana at last, Aditya asks for a second chance and proposes again, this time with genuine hope and humility. Prerana accepts, and their path forward seems clear. In a parallel triumph, Tara’s spirit and determination propel her to win Paralympic archery, signaling a future where courage—and destiny—can be shaped by choice as much as by fate. The film closes on the couple’s wedding, with the promise that love, science, and belief can coexist even in the most improbable of circumstances.
