Prison Break 2017

In June 1942, Sakuma Seitaro escapes from Akita Prison by breaking through a skylight, an event that reaches the ears of Urata Susumu, the chief warden of Kosuge Prison in Tokyo. Urata, previously in charge of life-sentence prisoners, had previously treated Sakuma with kindness, despite the convict’s history of escapes, including one from Aomori. Sakuma seeks out Urata to protest the inhumane treatment by Akita prison officers, but is promptly re-arrested. A year later, both Sakuma and Urata find themselves at Abashiri Prison, with Urata assuming the role of warden.
