What Is Pretty Boy About?
The premise of Pretty Boy without spoilers.
Sean, a bullied teenager struggling with his sexuality, is taken to a motel by his father for a disturbing 18th birthday surprise: a prostitute. His devoutly Christian father, finding questionable magazines in Sean's room, believes this encounter will "fix" his son’s perceived homosexuality and force him to conform to societal expectations. Sean is introduced to Katie, a prostitute who offers understanding and helps him confront the complexities of modern stigmas and ultimately discover his own path to self-acceptance.
