On the final day of college in Salem, Sachin Santosh [Naslen] confesses his feelings for his classmate Anjali, but she bluntly rejects him. Devastated, he returns to his hometown of Aluva, where he must confront his parents’ sour relationship and a looming plan to study abroad in the UK. A visa setback—funds not enough—shifts his plans, leaving him with a six-month window to reapply. In the meantime, he pitches in at his father’s bakery and slowly begins to reshape his path.

A chance encounter changes his course: his childhood friend Amal Davis [Sangeeth Prathap] asks him to join a GATE course in Hyderabad, and feeling the itch for a new start, Sachin agrees and makes the move. In Hyderabad, a new energy surrounds him as Reenu Roy [Mamitha Baiju], a vibrant woman from Mallapally, joins the IT company Ospyn. She moves in with her friends Karthika [Akhila Bhargavan] and Niharika [Meenakshi Raveendran], while a pompous colleague from Mumbai, Aadhi [Shyam Mohan], secretly adores her and pretends to be her “bestie.” The situation gets complicated quickly as Sachin and Amal attend the wedding of their professor, Shobi Sir [Althaf Salim], whose bride Shravani is a colleague of Reenu.

From the moment Sachin spots Reenu, a spark ignites. The two strike a tentative friendship with Reenu and Karthika, even as Aadhi’s presence adds tension to every encounter. After the wedding, Reenu and Karthika decide to ride back to Hyderabad with Sachin and Amal in their Mini Cooper, though Aadhi disagrees at first. Sachin, who had hoped to quit the course and land a job in Chennai, makes a pivotal choice: he’ll stay for Reenu and even convinces Amal to help him snag a job at his aunt Mary’s fast-food restaurant.

Soon they settle into Reenu and Karthika’s neighborhood and throw a party at a local pub. During the gathering, Amal explains Sachin’s feelings to Karthika, who warns that Reenu is seeking a mature, well-established partner—someone with a real plan. This makes Sachin hold back, deciding not to reveal his heart just yet. Their bond deepens through shared exploits—a train ride and a Hyderabad excursion—that irritate Aadhi and fuel his jealousy.

Eventually, Sachin musters the courage to tell Reenu how he feels, only to be met with rejection. She reveals that this isn’t his first time facing heartbreak, and the blow hits hard. A disheartened Sachin travels to Chennai for odd jobs, while he stops answering Reenu’s calls and messages. Meanwhile, Karthika leaves for Bangalore to be with her fiancé Vikas, and Reenu’s isolation grows as she begins to grasp what she’s really feeling for Sachin.

Weeks pass, and at Karthika’s pre-wedding party, Sachin and Amal reappear with fragile façades. Sachin pretends he’s moved on and fabricates news of an approved UK visa to impress Reenu, just as Aadhi confronts them. In a drunken flurry, Sachin and Amal belittle Aadhi, who then publicly proposes to Reenu—only to be shot down once again. Humiliated, Aadhi swears vengeance and exits in a fury as Sachin and Amal pass out, exhausted from the night.

The next morning, the two brothers head to the airport, with Reenu deciding to join them. En route, Aadhi and a few thugs give chase. In a tense moment, Reenu confesses that she misses Sachin and wants him to stay, and when she finally admits her true feelings, his happiness returns. The chase crescendos, but Reenu defends herself with pepper spray—an improvised gift from Aadhi for self-defense—dispersing the attackers and allowing a narrow escape to the airport. They share a heartfelt hug and vow to pursue a long-distance relationship.

Then the film shifts to a rooftop moment from a few months earlier, a playful, almost prophetic scene: Reenu, Karthika, and Niharika drink together, and Niharika jokes that Reenu will marry whoever the rooftop can lands on. An offhand remark about an old man curses the moment, and the trio bolts, only to discover that the can actually lands on a drunken Sachin—with Amal in tow—who stagger away, kicking the can as the scene hints at an uncertain future.

The film uses its warmth, humor, and emotional depth to follow two people who navigate ambition, pride, and longing across different cities, ultimately choosing to treasure each other even when the road ahead is long and uncertain. The narrative threads underscore themes of growth, resilience, and the sometimes awkward but undeniable pull of true connection.
