Set against the political churn of Uttar Pradesh, the film traces the rise and fall of a powerful regional figure, Baldev Pratap Singh. A four-time MLA from Malihabad, Baldev has built his clout in the rough arena of local politics, buoyed by a stay order against a ruthless businessman and backed by a loyal cadre. In the same party, Majid Maqbool circles the fray, eager for a ticket to fight from Malihabad, setting the stage for a high-stakes contest that blends ambition with danger.

In a vivid flashback, Baldev and his steadfast lieutenant Badshah confront a wave of intimidation aimed at Jaiprakash Kedar in a village election. Jaiprakash’s son Shiv chooses to step into the political arena after his father withdraws, but the path turns murderous when Kishen Yadav kills Shiv at a rally. Baldev and Badshah pursue Kishen and his goons, killing them to avenge Shiv. On Jaiprakash’s deathbed, he urges Baldev to marry his daughter-in-law Saroj and to look after Shiv’s children, Ayush and Palak, weaving a silent oath into Baldev’s political destiny.

Back in the present, Ayush works alongside Baldev as the heir apparent, while Palak, a doctor by training, keeps a guarded distance from her mother and Baldev’s household. She maintains a fragile bond with Ayush and introduces him to her friend Shivi, whom he begins to date, hinting at the personal costs that accompany a life in the public eye. Baldev’s family dynamics grow tenser as his son Vivaan—hot-headed and eager to claim the political throne—chisels at Baldev’s plans. Baldev doubts Vivaan’s readiness for public life, urging him to study abroad so he can return stronger, while Vivaan’s exuberance clashes with the more disciplined expectations around the family business.

Badshah Khan remains Baldev’s most trusted lieutenant, and his daughter Asma, recently completing her MBA, is appointed manager of Baldev’s hotel. The family’s domestic drama deepens when Vivaan’s brash behavior toward Asma forces a clash that Ayush witnesses. To repair the rift, Baldev orders Vivaan to apologize publicly, and in a surprising turn of events, Vivaan is made to work under Asma at the hotel. The two drift from conflict to a begrudging camaraderie, a small glimmer of unity in a household frayed by ambition.

As elections draw near, Majid leverages blackmail to secure a party ticket for Malihabad, prompting Baldev to contest as an independent. Enemies Bajwa and Majid close ranks, staging an attempt on Baldev’s life that nearly derails the campaign. The political pressure cooker heats up as Baldev’s support base fractures, and the public’s trust begins to waver in the wake of the assault.

In the aftermath, Vivaan is released from jail and joins a conspiracy with Bajwa to seize the family legacy by eliminating Ayush. Baldev and Bajwa maneuver to remove Badshah from the picture, while Vivaan’s men target Ayush at the movies, even targeting Palak and her children in a bid to wipe out Baldev’s remaining rivals. Palak and her husband are murdered, and the truth about the brutal acts is muddled in a cover-up that Durga exposes to Ayush, shaking him to his core.

The maelstrom drives Ayush away from Baldev, and he attempts to neutralize Vivaan, though the effort falls short. Badshah steps in, killing Vivaan, while Baldev orders a broader purge—engaging the police chief to kill Ayush and Badshah, and Bajwa adding Durga to the kill list in a bid to silence opposition ahead of the next election. The web of deceit tightens as Badshah reveals a brutal confession: Baldev had killed Shiv to secure his political ascent.

Faced with the weight of this revelation, Ayush confronts the moral arithmetic of power. Rather than strike back, he chooses not to kill Baldev. The moment of mercy breaks Baldev’s resolve, and he shoots himself, bringing his era to a dramatic close and signaling the dawn of Ayush’s own political reckoning. The narrative closes on a note that power’s price is measured not just in victories, but in the lives touched and the choices that define a dynasty’s fate.
