Sooraj is an aspiring musician Arjun Ashokan whose life centers on his deep bond with his best friend Gopika Mamitha Baiju. Yet his musical dreams clash with his father, Rajeevan Manoj K U, who pushes him toward a more conventional career, creating a chilly distance within the family. In this strained dynamic, Sooraj’s mother, Anusree Sreedhanya Thekkedath, often feels sidelined as the men in her life clash. Meanwhile, Rajeevan tries to reconnect with his past by reaching out to his ex-girlfriend Meera Miya George, revisiting memories that complicate the present.

The turning point comes when Anusree dies suddenly of a heart attack, prompting a reevaluation of the roles each person has played in her life. As they grieve, Gopika remains a steady anchor for Sooraj, helping him navigate the raw emotions of loss while his relationship with his father remains strained. Rajeevan, grappling with guilt about Meera, is confronted with the secrets Anusree kept hidden.

While sorting through Anusree’s belongings, Rajeevan discovers a diary filled with love notes and poems that clearly do not belong to him—an intimation of a chapter of Anusree’s life that was kept private. Anger flares as he feels betrayed by a past that isn’t his to own. Sooraj, reading the diary, realizes it is addressed to a lover who existed before Rajeevan. He understands that his mother wanted this earlier relationship to be honored after her death, not ignored. He proposes locating the former lover to tell him of Anusree’s passing and to fulfill her last wish by acknowledging that portion of her life. Rajeevan, at first reluctant, eventually agrees.

Together they embark on a journey to find this man, a trek that becomes a conduit for healing by bringing Anusree’s essence back into the foreground and dissolving the family chaos that had clouded their lives. In the end, connecting with the past helps the father and son repair their bond and rediscover a fuller sense of who Anusree was, and what she continues to mean to them all.
