Paul Braconnier and his wife Blandine want to kill each other without risk. After hearing a radio show, Paul goes to Paris, tells a famed defense lawyer he has murdered his wife, and is asked to recount the crime. Unwittingly, the lawyer outlines a plan that could let Paul kill Blandine while evading the death penalty or even gaining release.
