After his racing career is sidelined by engine trouble, Dusty becomes an aerial firefighting trainee. He joins forces with veteran helicopter pilot Blade Ranger and a specialized team known as The Smokejumpers to combat dangerous wildfires. Through rigorous training and facing perilous situations, Dusty learns the importance of courage, teamwork, and discovering a new purpose in protecting others and the landscapes he loves.

Since achieving a remarkable triumph in the Wings Around the Globe Rally, Dusty Crophopper, a determined and talented aircraft, has established himself as a serious competitor in the racing scene. However, his soaring success is put on hold when his engine’s gearbox incurs significant damage from excessive revving, leaving him grounded and in search of a remedy. Confronted with the grim reality that his damaged gearbox is no longer functional and impossible to replace, Dusty’s dedicated mechanic Dottie takes urgent measures by fitting a warning light on his engine to prevent any further harm.
