What Is Pintea About?
The premise of Pintea without spoilers.
Set in the 18th‑century Maramureș region of Romania, officer Grigore Pintea returns home to discover his parents murdered and villagers tortured for protesting the oppression of Bartolok Graff. Disillusioned, he deserts the Austrian army, becomes an outlaw, and is joined by peasants; together they seize two fortresses, forging a lasting resistance.
