Tamanna Sahni, Shilpa Shetty Kundra, is the creative head of a top advertising agency, T.J. Associates. Her dedication, ideas, designs, and hard work have fueled the agency’s rise to prominence. She heads off to a college reunion and runs into her college sweetheart, Rohit Manchanda, Salman Khan. They rekindle their romance and share a few intimate moments, but Rohit ultimately leaves, and Tamanna quietly slides back into her routine, keeping the memory of their time together as a bright, personal milestone.

When her sister, Tanya Sahni Kamalinee Mukherjee, meets with an accident, she decides to donate blood. The doctor, Dr. Raisingh, Revathi, informs them that Tanya tests positive for HIV. Tamanna’s world is upended as she wrestles with fear, confusion, and the sense that life can pivot on a single crisis. She desperately tries to reach Rohit, but he is hospitalized for HIV as well, complicating an already painful truth. The pressure and stigma begin to creep into Tamanna’s professional life as well, and soon the news of her own HIV status leaks through the office, leading to a painful loss of her job and the suspicion of colleagues who struggle to separate the person from the illness.

Desperate for legal protection and recognition, Tamanna seeks a lawyer, only to find that the system offers few protections and many attorneys refuse to take the case. Tarun Anand [Abhishek Bachchan] initially turns her away, but eventually agrees to represent her, drawn by a sense of justice and the possibility of changing an unjust landscape. To strengthen the approach, Tarun enlists his mentor, Lal Sir [Nassar], who has experience handling HIV-related cases and guiding strategy. The alliance between Tarun and Tamanna faces a grueling legal battle, and despite their efforts, the initial outcome is not favorable; they decide to file an appeal before the High Court of India, hoping for a more equitable hearing.

Meanwhile, Rohit’s health deteriorates, and he dies in Tamanna’s presence, a devastating moment that underscores the human cost of the disease. Tarun, driven by a renewed resolve, fights the appeal with vigor, aiming to broaden the understanding of stigma and to defend the dignity and rights of people living with HIV. The legal struggle reaches a turning point when the High Court delivers a verdict that overturns the earlier decision, offering a hard-won victory for Tamanna and validating their pursuit of justice in the face of prejudice.

With the courtroom battles behind her, Tamanna channels her resilience into business and leadership. She launches her own venture and, two years later, is recognized by Business Today as one of India’s young achievers. This milestone is celebrated publicly, and Tamanna dedicates the achievement to Rohit, acknowledging the man who sparked her strength and inspired her to transform adversity into professional and personal triumph within the advertising industry.
