Peyote to LSD: A Psychedelic Odyssey (2008): Cast

The documentary traces hallucinogens from jungle shamans to the 1960s. Plant explorer Richard Evans Schultes, the “Indiana Jones of psychedelics,” catalogued peyote, magic mushrooms and other sacred plants, creating the scientific basis for the drug revolution. His student Wade Davis follows Schultes’ routes across Canada, the Amazon and beyond, witnessing ceremonies that reveal how the research sparked an upheaval.
