Passion of Spies 1967

Starring Eduard Nazarov, this film unfolds in the Soviet Union around a groundbreaking dental apparatus that catches the eye of foreign intelligence chief Shtampf, who endures a painful toothache and sees a rare chance to seize the invention. There, he falls under the guile of a seductive foreign agent who lures him into a dangerous bargain: after piling up an enormous bill, he’s offered a way out—planting a bomb beneath the prized dental device in exchange for wiping the debt clean. As the danger escalates, Soviet agents—General Sidorcev, Colonel Sidorov, Captain Sidorin, and Lieutenant Sidorkin—spring into action, coordinating a response that blends formal espionage craft with the nimble resourcefulness of ordinary citizens.
