Alex “Mestri” Pullakkunnel leads a seemingly content life alongside his wife, Iniya, who suffers from epilepsy, and their beloved son Shine. However, a moment of anger leads him to slap Annie, triggering a violent seizure that results in her tragic fall into a well. Despite his desperate attempts to save her, the incident is misinterpreted, branding him a murderer. Subsequently, he is sentenced to prison.
Behind bars, Alex faces a tough road as his first request for parole is denied. His son refuses to sign the application, gripped by the fear that he may become the next target if his father is released. Tragically, the situation escalates with the sudden death of Alex’s sister, Kathrina, which finally opens the door for his release on parole. Filled with the hope of reconnecting with Shine, Alex embarks on a difficult journey to find him.
Upon locating his son, Alex is heartbroken to learn that Shine has fallen into a life of crime, allegedly working for Sudarshan, a notorious local drug lord played by Hari Prashanth M. G.. When Shine is taken in for questioning, tensions soar as Sudarshan retaliates by taking him away. In a moment of desperation, Alex confronts Sudarshan and manages to rescue his son from the clutches of crime.
Yet, the story takes another turn as the police officer assigned to the case, grappling with the implications of incarcerating Shine—who is friends with his own son—makes a controversial decision. Rather than arrest Shine, he chooses to detain Alex once more under suspicion of another crime he did not commit. The film concludes with a poignant twist, revealing the truth about Alex’s innocence while echoing the somber realization that he remains trapped in the cycle of injustice.
