After the Spanish Civil War, a vaudeville troupe—musician Jorge, ventriloquist Enrique, couplet singer Rocío and orphan Miguel—find themselves stripped of everything. Hungry and caught between victors and the defeated, they wander day after day, searching for food and a place to live, clinging to dreams and moments of laughter, and struggle to survive.
