Out Come the Wolves 2024

The story of Out Come the Wolves unfolds around a Canadian couple, Sophie and Nolan, who opt for a retreat into the wilderness, driven by Nolan’s desire to delve into a writing project about hunting and rediscovering the fundamental roots of the food we consume. To aid them in this rugged adventure, they invite Kyle, Sophie’s old acquaintance and a seasoned hunter, to join them in the isolated cabin, where he can impart his knowledge and skills to Nolan.

From the very start, it becomes clear that Kyle harbors lingering feelings for Sophie. He candidly discloses that his girlfriend was unable to accompany him, creating a trio dynamic in their secluded setting. As they embark on this journey together, an undercurrent of tension quickly emerges, built upon charged dialogues about their shared history. A pivotal revelation surfaces: Sophie and Kyle once shared a fleeting romantic interlude, igniting Nolan’s suspicions that Kyle has not truly moved on, especially when Kyle’s demeanor shifts aggressively upon discovering that Sophie and Nolan are now engaged. The following day, during an expedition to hunt, Nolan and Kyle’s paths tragically intersect with a ferocious wolf that attacks Nolan, leaving him grievously injured. In a moment of sheer panic and egoism, Kyle fights off the ravenous beast but makes the grave decision to abandon a bleeding Nolan, leaving him to face a bleak fate alone. This betrayal sets the stage for an intense clash between Sophie and Kyle. At first, it appears that Sophie must contend with the dangerous advances of a jealous ex-lover, yet the narrative takes an unexpected turn. Rather than confronting Kyle in a bout of fury, Sophie and he engage in a brief spat before ultimately deciding to plunge back into the wilderness together, in a desperate search for Nolan. As they traverse deeper into the woods, they soon find themselves facing the same pack of wolves, now seemingly drawn to the scent of blood, heightening the stakes of their desperate journey.
