Kichu is introduced as a carefree, good-natured young man who dreams of moving abroad with his girlfriend Kalyani. With a push from his father, Chachan, he gets drawn into a shadowy assignment offered by a group of people willing to pay for his help. The target is a lonely man who supposedly holds a dangerous secret: David, a ruthless gangster who allegedly lost his memory after a brutal shootout in Udupi, along with confidential information about gold worth Rs. 30 crore. Seized by curiosity and the promise of money, Kichu agrees and sets out to locate and befriend this enigmatic figure.
Kichu eventually tracks David to a movie theater, where the man works as a popcorn vendor. He approaches him with a mix of hesitation and awkward charm, gradually earning his trust and even earning the nickname “Anna” as a sign of camaraderie. The gang behind the mission compels Kichu to push David toward reclaiming his memory, insisting that bringing back the old memories is the key to unlocking the treasure and the truth that lies beneath the surface.
To accomplish this, Kichu proposes a road trip under a seemingly harmless pretext: they must deliver a car consignment to Udupi. David agrees, albeit reluctantly, and the two set off on a tense journey that doubles as a test of loyalty and allegiance. Their route takes them from Mumbai toward the coastal town of Udupi, with a layover in Goa that becomes a turning point. In Goa, a brutal confrontation with a drunken man erupts into a fierce brawl, during which a heavily inebriated David lands heavy blows. After the dust settles, the two men sit on a moonlit beach, where a drunk Kichu blurts out a confession, and David’s suspicions begin to simmer.
David confronts Kichu about the truth behind his memories, and Kichu responds with evasive half-truths, claiming he heard of a friend who could verify his story. The tension escalates as the conversation peels back layer after layer of deceit. In a startling reveal, Kichu admits that David himself was the ferocious gangster who served as the right-hand man to his boss, Asainar. In a twist that sends the story spiraling, David reveals that he is not David at all—he is actually Asainar, the very boss whose memory is seemingly entangled in the past. The truth leaves Kichu reeling, and he bolts, trying to reach the gang for help, only to learn that they, too, are complicit.
The gang confirms that it is indeed Asainar traveling with Kichu, and they propose a deal: take Asainar to the shootout spot in Udupi, and they will pay Kichu handsomely. As they arrive at the shootout location, Kichu exits the car to fetch two teas, but the tea seller has already prepared them and hands them over. Fearful of what awaits, Kichu asks Asainar if he remembers anything from the incident. Asainar declines, and, in a chilling moment, asks Kichu if he recalls being called “Dawood.” The realization hits hard: Kichu is actually David, the one who had lost his memory, and the man beside him is the true mastermind, Asainar. In disbelief, Kichu breaks down as the truth sinks in.
The gang closes ranks around Asainar, leaving Kichu adrift. They march him toward Adiga’s place, a formidable rival whose power and history stretch back to the earlier days of their operations. There, Adiga recollects their origin and spits with anger at Asainar for the betrayals that bind them. In a brutal turn, Asainar eliminates Adiga and drags Kichu to a remote spot to finish the job. Yet the memory fog begins to lift just as they depart, and Kichu’s alibis crumble.
Back at the new location, Kalyani is brought into the perilous dynamic as Asainar orders her to finish Kichu after he departs. Kichu—still oscillating between identities—asks if he is truly David, and Kalyani nods in the affirmative, confirming the hard-won truth that the man she knows is, in fact, David reborn. In his final moment of clarity, Kichu recalls telling Kalyani that if David ever realizes his true self, no one around him would stand a chance. Then, in a shocking reversal, Kichu fully transforms into David and unleashes a lethal onslaught, killing everyone except Kalyani who watches in horror as he claims her in a final embrace before turning on her and killing her as well. With Kalyani dead, David escapes in a van, haunted by a vow he made to Asainar’s wife to kill his rival—one last promise that ensures the vendetta will rage on.
Even as the dust settles, the tale remains unfinished, with Asainar seemingly untouchable and the road ahead still loaded with danger and unresolved scores. The film closes on a note of grim inevitability, signaling that the story of identity, loyalty, and vengeance is far from over.
