Freddy and his father Nicholas belong to a brokers and commission agents group, and they scrape by on the first floor of a shared house while the owner and his wife live on the ground floor. With rent unpaid for months, they’re urged to move out, and Freddy often tongue-lashes the house owner when the pressure mounts. Their precarious income shadows every move, and the two men hustle to keep their heads above water.

Their finances are strained further by the faded dignity of owning little more than a fishing boat named Martha, registered in Nicholas’s wife’s name, a vessel they pledge to moneylender Avaran to cover mounting debts. The men juggle deals with a constant eye on Avaran’s share, and their routine is a reckless blend of risk and bravado. Between shady business and late-night visits to Mamma’s bar, they drift into a cycle of liquor-fueled bravado and petty schemes that keep them just ahead of trouble.

One routine glance at a neighborhood newspaper leads them into a new set of troubles and opportunities. They spot an advertisement for an old model car put up by Sherin’s mother, and the pair decide to nab the opportunity. They repair the car and pass it off to a collector of old items, Mundakkal Sivarama Menon, having used a light-hearted ruse to inflate the car’s perceived value. In the course of the deal, Nicholas even pockets an ancient sword from Menon’s home, a prize that will later entangle them in far more perilous games. That night, a bullet wounds their car, drawing the attention of JJ’s men, and the crew narrowly avoids a fatal encounter thanks to a prompt escape and a demand for repair charges that JJ’s side tries to collect. Yet JJ is impressed enough by their knack for trouble to keep them in his orbit.

Days later, the duo returns the sword to Menon’s house only to spark a fresh round of pursuit when Menon phones the police, claiming the sword is found. They manage to slip away once more, but the seed of bigger schemes has sprouted. The next advertisement appeals to their greed and sentiment: a piano that belongs to Sherin, a cherished gift from her father Williams. Sherin’s attachment to the piano is clear—she loves it, yet financial pressures force a hard choice. Freddy and Nicholas haul the piano back to their place, intent on finding a buyer who can pay well enough to fill their pockets and calm Avaran’s looming threats.

The plan to sell the piano leads them into a murkier world. They learn that a film producer has altered a script so the hero’s instrument has shifted from piano to violin, and the would-be buyer can’t justify the piano’s role in the project. The Symphony Music operation, run by the Symphony Music CEO, claims they already have plenty of pianos in their warehouse, so there’s little appetite for this particular piece. Undeterred, the two attempt to close a deal with JJ’s business network, but JJ rejects the piano outright, which only sharpens their appetite for a bigger score.

A flash of audacity changes the game. They switch tactics and sell the piano to one of JJ’s associates, and JJ soon discovers the betrayal. He sets a trap that ties Chacha’s fate to a hefty reward: 50,000 rupees if the piano was not paid for, and a plan to kidnap Chacha—an old partner in crime—unfolds before them. The kidnapping goes awry when Chacha is rescued by his own men before the trap can fully close. JJ then detains Nicholas and demands that Freddy kidnap Chacha, offering a double-edged incentive: the release of Nicholas in exchange for Chacha’s capture. In a bid to protect Nicholas, the pair enlist the help of Appaji, a loyal ally who brings essential street-smarts to the operation.

As the chase tightens, the two families of deception collide at Sherin’s home, where JJ and Chacha press for the piano as the source of a hidden truth. The piano conceals a set of location maps, and the trio races across towns to recover them. By the time the maps surface, the maps themselves have slipped away again, and Freddy and Nicholas are beaten and interrogated by JJ and Chacha in a bid to extract what they know. Yet the duo refuses to break, clinging to the conviction that the maps are the key to something bigger.

With Appaji by their side, Freddy and Nicholas persist, and a plan comes into view: retrieve a hidden treasure that lies within a well. The trio works together to pull the wealth from the depth, and when the treasure is finally extracted, they set their sights on one last escape. But JJ, Chacha, and their gangs converge, and a furious confrontation erupts. The fight is brutal, but Freddy, Nicholas, and Appaji hold their ground, delivering the culprits to the authorities and earning a reward that finally steadies their precarious fortunes.

With the score finally settled, the trio reclaims their boat Martha and returns to the life they know, sharing a rare moment of celebration with Sherin. The film closes on the shoreline as the boat drifts away, leaving behind the echoes of a tale about risk, loyalty, and the fragile line between cunning and crime.
