Open Skies (1985): Cast

When Brazil emerged from decades of military rule, Tancredo Neves—set to become the first civilian president in twenty years—fell ill with an unexplained infection and died on 21 April 1985 before taking office. Fearing a crisis, his aides and the press masked his condition, creating a public façade. The documentary follows his gradual, public decline and death.
