Kevin Gibbons, portrayed by Lance Bass, kickstarts his prom night by performing with his band, feeling invincible until the girl of his dreams makes her entrance with her boyfriend. Overcome by nerves, he experiences a monumental mishap, freezing and ultimately fainting on stage.

Fast forward seven years, and Kevin is now navigating the world of advertising, where his boss, Mr. Higgins (played by Dave Foley), is eager for a captivating campaign for Reebok—something that Kevin seems to lack. Assigned to work with the skeptical Jackie, played by Tamala Jones, he faces challenges as she views him as more of a burden than a contributor.

On his commute to work, Kevin’s passion for music compels him to sing on the train, earning him strange looks from fellow passengers, except for one girl—initially unnamed but later revealed to be Rod, played by Joey Fatone—who appreciates his performance.
