John Corbett stars as Matt Andrews, a geologist called in to investigate why there have been two large sinkholes threatening the heart of New Orleans. On his side is Jessica Steen, who plays Allison Beauchamp, Matt’s girlfriend and the mayor’s assistant. Allison faces a harrowing choice: will the sinkhole crisis push them to cancel the remaining Mardi Gras festivities, a move that could unleash an economic catastrophe for the city, or keep events running in the face of mounting danger? The tension between scientific judgment and political pressure is a persistent undercurrent throughout the story.
