Object of Study (2024): Cast, Ratings & Box Office

A film director’s experimental approach uncovers a complex legacy surrounding the filming of indigenous communities in a remote northern town. The story explores the controversial theories of American explorer Robert Peary, who, over a century ago, believed creating a “super-race” through unions between Westerners and Inuit people was the key to reaching the North Pole, combining strength and ingenuity. This film essay delves into this historical context, examining the ethical implications of anthropological objectivism and the pursuit of a fabricated ideal.
