Bob Crane [Tom Schanley] heads into a frost-bitten mystery that pulls him from his quiet life as a forest ranger at Yellowstone into the neon glare of Milan’s fashion world. When the police bring Giorgio in for questioning, he paints a picture of a night filled with high-stakes indulgence and fear: Jessica and the other women allegedly attended a private party where a game of Russian roulette went tragically wrong, killing another model. He climbs in through a window after the door is found locked, injuring his arm in the process. There, the truth lands with brutal clarity: the handwriting is forged, and Jessica herself is found dead, her body pinned to a chair. The rope of deception tightens to almost suffocating levels as Bob makes a frantic call to warn Danesi, only to be interrupted by the sudden arrival of Barbara in the apartment. Barbara’s past with Jessica reveals the motive behind the murders—she had sought a same-sex relationship with Jessica, was spurned, and descended into deadly actions. Barbara has killed the other models, used the diamonds to coerce complicity, and sent the bogus telegram to mislead Bob.
