Raju, Sidharth Bharathan, is the younger son from a wealthy family. He travels to Germany to work on space research, and when he learns of his mother’s death, he suffers a nervous breakdown that keeps him away from the family business for a couple of years. After his recovery, he marries his childhood sweetheart, Ashwathy Rima Kallingal. She is the daughter of their former family chauffeur, and the marriage took place largely against her mother’s wishes. Ashwathy has only a rough idea of what lies ahead, since Raju has a history of mental illness, but she remains determined to face the challenges with love.

Raju lives in his own world, distant from business deals and money, unlike his elder brother Vishwan Jishnu Raghavan. Those close to him measure every action through the lens of his past illness, which adds to his frustration and his short temper. To add to the oddities, he has converted his bedroom into a space research lab and dreams of building an organically self-sustained world for himself and his wife in the middle of the rubber estate. Vishwan has plans of his own, including a resort catering to foreign clients. Vishwan’s wife Sarayu Mohan watches these developments with a wary eye.

All of this fuels a growing volatility in Raju, and people begin to think that his illness has resurfaced. Ashwathy remains determined to bring him back to life with her love, almost succeeding, but the people around them are often more concerned with appearances, business, and convenience than with compassion, tender human emotions, and selfless devotion.
