In 1960s Nigeria, three sisters mourn the loss of their father amidst growing unrest. Set in Owerri, 1967, on the eve of the Biafran Civil War, the story explores themes of love and longing as the country descends into chaos following military coups. With foreign intervention fueling the conflict, the sisters yearn to return to their former life in Lagos, while facing an uncertain future in their provincial village.
