With Vidyut finally arrested on multiple charges tied to Avni and Mishti, Neil resigns from the police force and becomes a radio host, while Avni transforms into Nilanjana and dedicates herself to a shelter for illegitimate children, the Sukoon House. Mishti, renamed Saisha, grows into a young woman whose singing talents draw admiration from the outside world, and she finds love with Karan Kapoor, a fictional celebrity figure she admires.

Saisha and Karan marry, and Vidyut dies in a prison altercation in which the opportunity for revenge vanishes.
