Siddarama is a sharp-minded 10-year-old living in a crowded, tough urban edge of life, where every day is about survival. He shares a small, hopeful bond with his mother, and to help keep their family afloat, he works in an agarbatti factory, turning scents into a modest living. A reckless prank pulls him into trouble and lands him in lock-up, a setback that prompts his mother to seek help from Gooli Prathap/Kaala Pratapan [Kalabhavan Mani], a ruthless pimp who traffics people and quietly courts political power. When Siddarama is eventually released, Pratap’s dark ambitions shift toward Siddarama’s mother, threatening to shatter the fragile stability they’ve managed to claw together.

Siddarama’s world also holds a bright spark of aspiration. He is a devoted fan of Puneeth Rajkumar and often skips classes just to watch the star on the set of his films. During one such shooting, he gets a rare chance to come face to face with Puneeth Rajkumar and share a small scrapbook that chronicles his dreams, a moment that feels like a beacon of possibility in a life otherwise filled with constraint and risk.

His path then winds into the rigid environment of a juvenile prison, where a strict warden oversees a harsh routine. There, Siddarama forms a meaningful, mentoring bond with fellow inmate Johnson, who recognizes Siddarama’s potential and encourages him to imagine a future beyond his current circumstances. Johnson’s steady faith helps Siddarama grow in confidence, and that encouragement paves the way for a life-changing opportunity: he is chosen to participate in Karunada Kotyadipathi, a high-stakes quiz show hosted by Puneeth Rajkumar. The prospect of winning ₹1 crore becomes a lifeline and a symbol of the second chance he’s being offered.

The show’s aftermath brings a brutal clash between truth, fear, and guilt. After the filming, Mohanlal as Mahadev Ghodke confronts Puneeth, insisting that Siddarama is the killer of his son. The confrontation shocks the host and shakes the show’s room, and Mahadev’s anger is clear as he reveals a plan to dismantle Gooli Prathap/Kaala Pratapan by using a bomb and striking at Pratap’s cabinet office. The moral stakes are raised as Puneeth probes the truth, and Siddarama’s fate hinges on the final question he must answer on the show.

When the moment comes, Siddarama calls the Phone-a-friend option and reaches Mahadev for help, hoping for a lifeline. Mahadev provides the correct answer without hesitation, but a harder truth emerges: Siddarama did not murder the boy, and it was Gooli Prathap/Kaala Pratapan and his henchmen who killed him, forcing Siddarama to bear the blame. The room fills with a heavy silence as the reality sinks in, and Mahadev walks away, leaving Siddarama to confront the consequences of the night’s revelations.

In the tense climax, a bomb detonates as plans unfold in the shadows of power and crime, killing Gooli Prathap/Kaala Pratapan and his henchman, who had been checking the contents of a suitcase. The daylight resolution arrives not with vengeance, but with a new family bond: Mahadev chooses mercy over revenge and adopts Siddarama as his own son, offering him a genuine chance at a safer, steadier life and a future steeped in care rather than fear.
