Ravi Patwardhan [Anil Kapoor] finds his life upended when a dead woman is recovered from a small pond, drawing him into a case that may connect to a missing-person report he filed along with his father-in-law. The dead woman is identified as Sheela R. Patwardhan [Suchitra Krishnamoorthi], Ravi’s wife. According to Ravi, Sheela had left their home to visit Shirdi with her parents. When Ravi’s father-in-law reports she hasn’t arrived even after 24 hours, they go to the nearest police station and file the missing-person report.
