When he lands in America, he is met with warmth and a measure of awe. The welcome is rooted in his surname, and the Italian-American community of Little Italy treats him with respect and curiosity. Seized by the chance to help, he decides to stay on as an assistant pastor in the church of Saint Lucia, hoping to bring a new shine to the parish and to the people who look to him for guidance.
