My Brother the Pig 1999

A boy named George, Nick Fuoco, is magically transformed into a pig. In a dangerous and wild adventure, the boy’s sister Kathy Caldwell, Scarlett Johansson, his best friend Freud, [Alex D. Linz], and their housekeeper Matilda, Eva Mendes, set out for Mexico to try to undo the witchcraft spell before their parents return from their Paris trip.

While gathering ingredients for Matilda’s grandmother, Berta, Renee Victor, to undo the spell, Kathy grows impatient and after insulting both Matilda and Berta, storms off into town. There she befriends two Mexican girls who speak English and have satellite TV, a detail that adds a hint of comic relief to the tense mission.

Meanwhile, Freud accidentally loses George to Edwardo, Marco Rodríguez, a harsh and intimidating butcher, triggering a frantic effort to recover the boy before the danger escalates. With Kathy and her friends in tow, they mount a risky rescue operation that draws the ire of Edwardo and spurs him to pursue them.

Together they race toward a remote destination sought for its magic, reaching Coyote Mountain under a full moon, where a carefully prepared potion promises to reverse the transformation and return George to his human shape. The tension rises as the pursuit tightens, and the group navigates the delicate balance between fear and determination, aiming to complete the ritual before time runs out.

Yet the path to restoration is not straightforward. Edwardo trails them, and as the rites begin, Matilda and Berta seize the moment to administer the potion in a surprising twist: Edwardo is turned into a vulture, while George is finally returned to his normal form. The ordeal culminates in a cautious homecoming, where the family pretends nothing has happened—the only visible reminder of their extraordinary journey is that George still has a pig’s tail.
