The premise of My Best Friend’s Birthday without spoilers.
‘Your ass is grass, and I’m the lawnmower.’ This partially lost black‑and‑white amateur film was originally about 70 minutes, but a fire destroyed most of it, leaving only 36 minutes. The surviving footage follows Mickey, dumped, as his friend Clarence plans a birthday surprise, in a gritty 1970s style.
