On a dim street, a sex worker is drawn to a man dressed in a woman’s clothes, and after she performs a provocative dance, he kills her. This brutal prologue introduces a city where danger and desire blur, and it sets the stage for a dark, interwoven tale of crime, guilt, and revenge.
Arjun Bhagwat is a former Goa Police officer who has become money-driven and morally gray. He lives alone, yet he keeps a romantic link with the stunning model Priya. Though he presents himself as a pragmatic, almost cynical man, he still slips into acts that hint at a softer, almost spiritual side—an atheist who nonetheless donates to orphans at a church, a place where fate quietly nudges him toward Priya.
The relationship between Arjun Bhagwat and Priya begins with tension and desire. He flirts with her, the momentary kiss feeling impulsive rather than affectionate, and Priya’s feelings grow into genuine emotion. Yet Arjun announces he wants nothing but a no-strings attachment, telling her to seek love elsewhere if she desires it.
Meanwhile, the corpse count grows among the city’s missing prostitutes. A particular focus falls on Jyothi, the Caucasian daughter of a Russian diplomat, whose disappearance draws backroom attention and police scrutiny. As the case expands, a gangster named Sameer hires Arjun to locate missing girls and, crucially, their abductor, offering a fee of Rs 5 Lakhs to get results.
With few clues, Arjun uncovers that Jyothi received an SMS directing her to a meeting place, but her phone is left behind when she is abducted. Frustrated by the lack of leads, he enlists Sameer’s help to recruit a decoy, Reshma, a poor college girl forced to sell herself to support her family. Reshma is taken by a man named Dhiraj Pandey, a psychopathic killer who tortures and murders the missing women and then dumps them in a well on his property.
As Reshma disappears, Arjun’s desperation grows. He refuses to believe that the killer has killed the girls and scrambles to locate her, using every resource at his disposal. He discovers a key detail: the phone number used to book the girls’ appointments, which points him toward Dhiraj Pandey. In his pursuit, Arjun believes he may be dealing with a larger human-trafficking operation, and he sets a course to confront the man who abducts these women.
When Arjun corners Dhiraj Pandey, the encounter spirals into a tense confrontation that lands them both in the hands of the police. In the station, Inspector Sadaa trusts Arjun, and Dhiraj Pandey eventually confesses to the killings. Yet a higher-up orders the investigation kept quiet due to the case’s high-profile connections. Undeterred, Arjun presses on, determined to gather proof even as he faces a stubborn system.
Back at the well where many victims ended up, Reshma awakens, badly injured but alive. Arjun’s pursuit leads him to Dhiraj’s home, where the killer’s family details emerge: he was married, his wife was subjected to torture, and his parents kicked him out. The investigation intensifies as a staff psychiatrist examines Dhiraj and reveals that he cut off his own penis to become a transvestite, a shocking detail the doctor links to his profound disrespect for women and his compulsion to kill when he can’t have sex.
Reshma makes a harrowing escape, crawling from the well and wandering through the surrounding forest. Around the same time, a transvestite politician named Nirmala Pandit arrives and helps secure Dhiraj’s release from custody. Inspector Sadaa informs Arjun that Dhiraj is free again, and the manhunt resumes with renewed urgency.
The pursuit brings Arjun into contact with other victims who survived past torments, including a private dancer named Sonia who had also been tortured by Dhiraj but managed to escape. An idol-maker who once worked with Dhiraj sheds light on his past: Dhiraj reportedly crafted devils’ idols and killed the factory owner who tried to stop him. In a cruel culmination, Nirmala and Dhiraj converge at a temple where Reshma is hidden. The priest’s revelation confirms that Reshma is present, and Dhiraj locates her in frightful detail. He kills Reshma in front of Arjun, who arrives too late to save her, and the sight drives him to despair.
The chase culminates when Dhiraj targets Priya for a final, brutal act, but Arjun intervenes just in time, saving her during a dangerous confrontation that ends in a violent exchange. A recording of Dhiraj’s torture of Reshma is played, and Arjun, overwhelmed by guilt and rage, stabs the killer multiple times until Inspector Sadaa restrains him. Yet the evidence of Dhiraj’s cruelty is undeniable, and Sadaa, after seeing the tapes and hearing Reshma’s screams, shoots Dhiraj to seal his fate.
In the aftermath, Arjun and Priya share a quiet moment of reflection at a church, where Arjun’s faith—an embattled, evolving conviction—meets the gravity of the ordeal. The near-tragedy has given him a new clarity about love and responsibility, threading a fragile hope through a story steeped in darkness.
