The premise of Mayday without spoilers.
In spring 1970, thousands gathered in New Haven to protest the trial of Black Panther members accused of killing alleged FBI informant Alex Rackley. Radical leaders Abbie Hoffman, Jerry Rubin and Tom Hayden rallied demonstrators on the New Haven Green, temporarily shutting down Yale. President Kingman Brewster assigned a small group of Yale students to film the unrest, producing a 22‑minute black‑and‑white documentary that captures the campus turmoil.
