Maurya (2004): Cast & Plot

Manu, a passionate kick-boxer, lives in Bangalore with his mother, Meena, a dedicated college lecturer who raised him with care and grit. From childhood, Manu is shaped by the bond they share, even as he grows aware that his father—Meena’s husband, the legendary fighter Prathap—is a distant figure in his life. When a sudden heart attack takes Meena away, her last wish is clear: Manu should seek out Prathap. She tells him that the six-time championship winner, now a seasoned kickboxing coach, holds the key to understanding his own path. This moment reshapes Manu’s world, pulling him toward the man who once dominated the sport and toward a future he never expected to face.
