One fateful night, Jaishankar comes across a shocking scene as he witnesses a group of gangsters performing a brazen kidnapping of a young girl. Intrigued and horrified, he pulls out his phone to record the entire incident before rushing to a nearby police station to report what he saw. Accompanying him is Inspector Gurunathan, who at first seems to be on Jai’s side. However, the shocking betrayal soon surfaces as it is revealed that Gurunathan is in cahoots with the gang, leading to a tragic outcome where Jai is brutally killed. Just before his demise, Jai manages to send the recorded video of the kidnapping to his friends, leaving behind a trail for them to follow.

Months pass, and we meet Police Inspector Archana Draupadi, who is on duty and catches two men in a public brawl. Shortly after, various incidents unfold at the station: a man reports his stolen purse, while another complains about his missing dog. Tension builds as we see Archana discreetly handing a gun to one of the men.

As the story unfolds, it becomes evident that Archana, the two men involved in the fight, and another who reported the theft are all former friends of Jai from the same orphanage. Upon receiving Jai’s disturbing video, they embark on a quest to uncover the truth behind his death. Utilizing the footage and phone tracking data, they pinpoint the gang led by Naga as responsible for Jai’s murder. In their pursuit of justice, they kidnap a member of Naga’s gang, Seenu, and torture him for answers. Despite extracting a confession, the absence of solid evidence prevents them from making arrests, driving them to seek vengeance on their own.

In a moment of chaos, Seenu escapes, and the next day, he is found murdered, reinforcing the group’s resolve not to cease their pursuit of Naga and Gurunathan. Archana decides to transfer to Gurunathan’s police station, strategically positioning herself to execute her plan. The group discusses their intentions to eliminate their targets during a staged encounter at the station. Upon Gurunathan’s arrival, an unexpected twist occurs as Naga also appears for a conversation, causing Archana to hesitate in signaling her friends.

The situation culminates in darkness as the station’s power is abruptly cut, followed by two gunshots echoing in the stillness. When the lights flicker back to life, both Naga and Gurunathan are found dead, and the man who had reported his missing dog mysteriously vanishes. Archana grapples with uncertainty when her friends deny having acted without her direction. Adhering to protocol, she informs ACP Nedunchezhiyan who commences an investigation.

Forensic evidence indicates that Gurunathan’s revolver was the weapon that killed Naga, as it remained in his hand. However, the bullet from Gurunathan’s body remains untraceable, adding layers to the investigation. Eventually, the dog owner resurfaces, claiming no involvement, only to have a witness report seeing a man flee and another discarding a gun during the blackout. This lead prompts the police to discover a gun in the sewer that corresponds to the bullet in Gurunathan’s body. Confusion reigns as Shiva, one of Archana’s friends, confesses that he mistakenly discarded a gun thrown towards him during the mayhem.

Ultimately, the case is filed as closed; Nedunchezhiyan determines that the two men killed each other in the blacked-out chaos, but Archana refuses to let the matter rest. She dives deeper into her investigation, only to learn that Jai had reached out to Nedunchezhiyan prior to his death. In a surprising reveal, Nedunchezhiyan admits that he is Jai’s brother, who had been searching for him after discovering a tragic past involving Jai’s kidnapping.

The narrative takes another turn as Nedunchezhiyan confesses to following Archana’s group and discovering their plans. He takes responsibility for Seenu’s death, exposing a chain of manipulation he orchestrated between Naga and Gurunathan, where both were led to believe they were being set up to eliminate one another. By cutting the station’s power, he cunningly orchestrated their demise without them knowing his involvement.
