Kay Dillon, Joan Collins, a successful modeling agent, spots the young and handsome ranch hand Jon-Erik Hexum Tyler Burnett during an outdoor shoot in Nevada and invites him to move to New York to pursue a career in modeling. Fresh from a recent breakup, Burnett accepts and heads to the city, where he shares an apartment with another model, Jeff Conaway Chuck Lanyard, a veteran of the fashion scene whose battles with alcohol and drugs reveal the darker side of glamour. Burnett’s natural charm quickly propels him toward a string of assignments, and before long he is being shaped into one of America’s most striking male models by his disciplined, ambitious agent.
